BUSINESS MANAGER

Role Description

This is a full-time, semi-remote role for a Business Development Manager. There are 2 key aspects to the position: Management and Development.

Management:

  • Manage our suppliers (creative freelancers, factories, shipment hubs, etc): supervise payment, deadlines, and provide general support.

  • Events management: supervise the booking of staff, construction, promotional materials, and sales channels. An average of one small local event per month, and 4 big conventions per year. In Japan and abroad.

  • Back Office support: Provide support to our general producer in managing and organizing general company operations.

  • Customer support: Respond to messages from our domestic and international customers.

  • Logistics: Administer our shipping hubs, making sure parcels are moving towards the correct destinations, and all documentation has been properly filed.

Development:

  • Research commercial and promotional opportunities within the gaming industry.

  • Negotiate with domestic and international publishers for commercial partnerships.

  • Exchange insights with the creative team for the vision and commercial viability of new products.

Operation details:

  • 30 hours of remote work weekly (flexible hours).

  • 2 weekly in-person meetings at the Office, located in Shin Koenji, Suginami, Tokyo.

  • 2 extra working days (per month) for event supervision (mainly during weekends).

  • Available for international travels.

Qualifications

  • English & Japanese proficiency. Ability to write emails and handle technical/ strategic meetings with suppliers in both languages.

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in either Business Management, Events Production, or any relevant Production role.

  • Strong interest in Gaming, Animation, or other relevant Creative fields.

  • Valid VISA for work in Japan.
